In the second quarter of 2024, the U.S. iOS App Store saw varied performances from top theme park applications. Sensor Tower's data offers a closer look at the trends for each of these apps.
My Disney Experience maintained steady engagement with weekly active users hovering around 210K to 220K. Downloads ranged from 45K to 51K, while revenues saw a slight decline from $265K to around $128K by the end of the quarter.
The Disneyland® app also experienced consistent weekly active users, starting at 99K and peaking at 114K. Downloads saw a peak of around 45K in late May. Revenue for the app showed a general decline, starting at $21K and dipping to just under $12K.
Six Flags showed an increase in both downloads and active users toward the end of the quarter. Downloads surged from 23K to over 50K in late May, then slightly decreased to 34K. Weekly active users saw a significant rise from 55K to 97K in the same period.
For Universal Orlando Resort, downloads started at 33K and showed a slight increase to 29K by the quarter's end. The app's weekly active users began at 96K and had a small increase to 90K.
Lastly, Universal Studios Hollywood™ downloads remained relatively stable, with a slight uptick from 24K to 23K. Weekly active users showed a modest range from 40K to 39K throughout the quarter.
